Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate TIG Welding equipment, demonstrating previous TIG welding experience
  • Weld aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel parts, including sub-assemblies, to rigorous standards
  • Perform spot welding and weld components using both manual and CNC equipment in various positions
  • Carry out brazing using high-temperature silver or low-temperature brass work
  • Work independently, maintaining a neat and safe work environment
  • Weld parts using jigs or freehand, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Complete ancillary operations, including fettling, deburring, polishing, and cleaning
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, working within specified tolerances
  • Measure, inspect, and log production data accurately within designated timeframes
  • Ensure batch production complies with strict quality standards
  • Support the team with other duties as needed, maintaining a flexible approach

Profile of a Successful Candidate:

  • Experience in TIG Welding, particularly with stainless steel and aluminium alloys
  • Familiarity with brazing and working with small components
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Previous manufacturing experience, ideally within aerospace or similar sectors
  • Engaged, reliable, and eager to learn — full training provided
  • An engineering background or apprenticeship is advantageous
