JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job title:                               Project Coordinator   

Location:                             Lechlade, Gloucestershire

Term:                                    Permanent

Salary:                                 £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Department:                        Operations

Responsible to:                  Managing Director               

 

Scope: To ensure that all customer projects and communications are managed effectively, to oversee the effective running of the workshop as a department that Information and requirements of all aspects of a job are communicated to all internal and external departments. To engage and work alongside the Management team to ensure that all company goals and policies are achieved. To ensure all budgetary requirements and monthly sales targets are meet with.

 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to;

 

Co-ordination of departmental activities including:

  • To effectively schedule and deploy resource to meet targeted customer deliveries dates and costings.   
  • To manage customer relationships and projects, to communicate project status at regular intervals. With feedback to internal resources as required.
  • To manage resource to ensure best practice.
  • To manage all customer project notes including all workshop logs.
  • To liaise with all internal departments to ensure effective throughput.
  • To facilitate customer meetings off site and at site.
  • Communication to all team members to ensure no production delays.
  • To manage an effective and commercial supply chain, including sub contracted processes.
  • To work to budgeted costings and provide accurate feedback to the team. To measure performance against targets.
  • Assist in build-up of all estimates relating to the particular projects or units, to help build data stored within the company data base.
  • To review project performance against delivery versus estimated budget, and to produce feedback on accurate job costings.
  • To assist in project surveys.
  • To work closely and to support all internal and external sales activity.
  • To deliver monthly invoicing targets, to develop and manage the controls.  
  • To ensure all company policy is followed by all team members.

 

General duties including:

  • Site Health and safety, first aid welfare and discipline.
  • Effective cross company communication.
  • Assisting with appraisal or review of team members and providing feedback to superiors.
  • Assisting with staff development matters, training and identification of training needs.
  • To participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • To support the creation and implementation of HR policy within the business.
  • Recruitment and people development.
  • To manage and maintain a continuous improvement policy.

  • Flexibility is Key to the success of lean organisations and in this respect you may be asked to assist in other departments should time permit. Such requests will not be deemed as unreasonable.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working within a similar role
  • Engineering background
  • Strong commercial skills and ability to deliver projects on time and budget
  • Excellent project planning skills
  • Experience of overseeing projects of mechanical repair and restore
  • Full understanding of the restoration process
  • Ability to oversee and manage team of 30+ staff
  • Must be able to liaise with customer to fulfil their requirements and report to upper management
  • Team player with strong leadership and communication skills
