Job Title:              Payroll Administrator 

Location:              Swindon

Salary:                  Up to £12.80 per hour, depending on experience

Days:                   3 days per week


An exciting and immediate opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Administrator to join our client's busy HR team.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Processing weekly payroll for 1400+ employees
  • Maintaining payroll data from submitted timesheets
  • Processing new starters/leavers
  • Calculating statutory payments
  • Childcare Vouchers
  • Monthly Commission Runs
  • Dealing with 3rd party suppliers and ensuring accurate and timely payments
  • Year-End Procedures
  • Preparation of payroll journals & reports for finance & various key members of the business
  • Handling and resolving payroll queries
  • Working closely with the HR team to undertake and support the day-to-day processing of the weekly payroll alongside the Payroll Manager, together with any ad hoc duties that may arise.

Candidate requirements:

  • Payroll experience preferably dealing with large numbers
  • Experience of using accounting systems
  • Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills inclusive of excel skills.
  • You’ll be accurate and able to organise and prioritise your own workload
  • Excel in a pressurised environment and to tight timescales
  • The candidate needs to be flexible with their working hours
  • The ability to multi-task is definitely a bonus.
