Junior Mechanical Engineer
Introduction
Our well-established client is looking for a mechanical engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be experienced within R & D and NPI and will hold an HNC qualification or possibly a degree.
Duties include:
- Generate product bill of materials, piece-part drawings, part numbers, installation instructions (etc).
- Demonstrate formal version, quality and design control and review procedures.
- Manage bill of materials, configuration control activities and formal external data releases.
- Liaise with ECAD engineers to ensure mechanical, electrical and thermal requirements are defined and met.
- Provide technical input for Product, Systems and customer requests
- Liaise with Program manager to ensure customer (internal and external) prototype deliveries are delivered to plan. Communicate mechanical design delivery progress.
- Drive DFM improvements with design and NPI teams (internal and external).
- Generating mechanical and thermal (Nice to have) models in support of project and customer requirements.
- Familiar with CAD software packages. Specifically; AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor.
Salary £25,000 - £35,000
