Our client is searching for a talented HGV Trailer Technician to join their growing team in Swindon, Wiltshire. As a key player in their team, you'll be responsible for delivering top-notch repairs and maintenance on trailers, ensuring they meet all DVSA standards. From routine servicing and preparing trailers for MOTs to bodywork repairs, brake rebuilds, diagnostics, and welding, you'll be performing a variety of tasks that keep commercial vehicles on the road safely and efficiently. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance meeting DVSA standards
• Prepare trailers for MOT tests
• Carry out bodywork and curtain damage repairs
• Rebuild brakes ensuring optimal performance
• Conduct ABS/EBS diagnostics, replacements, and reprogramming
• Weld and fabricate as needed for repairs

What we're looking for in you:

• Proven experience in mechanics, ideally with HGV or trailer backgrounds
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
• Level 3 in Motor Mechanics, HGV Technician, or comparable qualification (preferred but not essential)
• IRTEC Licence, Forklift License, or HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence is a bonus
• Experience with brands like BPW, SAF/Haldex, Jost, and Loler equipment is advantageous
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and keen to develop your skills
