Working hours: Day shift – Monday to Friday - 39 hours per week
                            Monday to Thursday:              7.45/8.00 am – 16.15/16.30 pm
                            Friday:                                     7.45/8.00 am – 15.15/15.30 pm

Holiday Entitlement:First year of Service 22 days per annum (Plus 8 Statutory Bank holidays)

Salary: £10.76 per hour/£21,826 per annum


Job Profile:

Being at the frontline of an engineering workshop dealing with all equipment maintenance, requires a responsible and organized approach.

As a maintenance engineer you`ll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery. In the event of a machine breakdown you will be the first to assess the issue and rectify the problem if possible. If unable to solve the issue then instigate the necessary engineer to be called on sight.

Responsibilities

As a maintenance engineer, you`ll need to:

  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Liaise with all departments relating with any breakdowns
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Carry out basic electrical checks and fault finding
  • Carry out basic plumbing and water issues  
  • When required put in place new work stations using basic carpentry skills
  • Customer deliveries required on occasion

Candidates Requirements:

  • A clean driving licence is essential
  • Forklift driving license an advantage
  • Experience with maintenance of machinery
  • Ideally some knowledge of CNC machinery.
