Job Title: Electro Mechanical Repair Operative
Term: Permanent
Location: Calne, Wiltshire
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 per annum
We are seeking an Electro/Mechanical Repair Operative. The candidate is required to be neat, methodical and has a well-organised approach to work. Capable of working unsupervised in a hard-working team in a growing business based in the satellite office in Calne, Wiltshire. This position is working within our service department and will include general customer service, servicing of drainage and potable water cameras, robotic crawlers, and leak detection equipment.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and electrical assembly
- Electronics assembly of components
- Repair of cable insertion systems
- Assembly of parts manufactured in house
- Final test and quality testing
- Stock control
- Packaging and shipping
- Record keeping and general administration
Experience:
- Proven experience working within a similar environment, both as part of a team and using own initiative and have the ability to thrive in a changing environment.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English
- Good standard of computing skills
- Ideally a relevant engineering qualification
Preferred skills:
- Have proven skills in electronic, electrical and mechanical engineering
- Be able to solder neatly and use a wide range of tools
- Have the ability to recognise everyday electronic and mechanical components and systems
- Be able to repair cable systems
- Be able to use basic electronic test equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, etc)
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
