Job Title: CNC Machine Minder
Salary: £10 - £10.50 per hour
Location: Swindon - South Marston
Position: Ongoing temp ( possibility to go permanent)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00 until 1.00pm, (39 hours per week)
Daily Duties:
- Working within a cell of machines
- Machine minding the production process
- Emptying parts bins of components after inspection of parts etc.
- Daily maintenance of adding coolant and oil to the machines and general good house keeping.
- Specific machine minder training will be given along with training/guidance for the inspection elements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic precision engineering inspection equipment desirable including use of “Digital Vernier” and “Digital micrometer”.
- Good communication skills required.
- Someone who is dynamic and likes to be busy.
- Somebody who has successfully worked in a production line environment, such as the car industry would also be considered.
- Previous experience in CNC machine minding an advantage, preferably CNC lathes, but other type of CNC machines considered.
The role is currently dayshift, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00 until 1.00pm, (39 hours per week) with possible later shift work required if the role became permanent, for holiday coverage 6.00 to 2.00 and 2.00 to 10.00 at shift rate paid extra @ 20%. Paid Overtime is sometimes required and flexibility is important.
