Technical Development Engineer (TDE )

Job Description:

  • This position is open to those who wish to embark on, or continue, a technical engineering career.
  • Once going permanent, you will start a two year course and gain a technical engineering qualification
  • You must have a full driving licence to be considered for this role
  • Once qualified, you will receive an increased salary of £23,000 per annum

JOB TITLE: Technical Development Engineer

REPORTS TO: Technical Manager ( South )

LOCATION: Swindon Technical Centre


To manage all technical elements of the Swindon based Technical Centre of Excellence. Ensuring rework, kit development , asset auditing , RST and FSO training , machine and parts distribution and stock management are completed to a high standard enabling our field based team offer world class customer service

  • Rework of all frozen and postmix equipment
  • Recording of all equipment distribution nationally
  • Support the RSC with stock movement
  • Technical Project input for all new business wins
  • Training support for all RST’s and FSO’s by providing the necessary tools and environment for effective learning
  • Experience in Frozen AND Postmix
  • Relevant RST cover and support in field as the business requires
  • Support NST role during projects
  • National project support



  • Engineering expertise in dispense/frozen or similar industry (Desirable)
  • Time management skills  (Desirable)
  • Resourceful with good problem solving skills (Expected)
  • Computer literate, MS Office (Expected)


  • Previous experience in a technical role (Desirable)
  •   Customer Service experience (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of pub/club/leisure sector (Desirable)

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours : Hours between 8am and 6pm

Weekend Working

Not required . However , if specific project requires an element of weekend working then time off in lieu will be given during the working week
