Our client are a growing trading company/wholesaler of home textiles in Swindon. We are looking for a highly organised and driven person, who is happy to work independently as well as a team.

Hours: 9:30 am –3:30 pm - Monday to Friday

Your duties will include:

  • Day to day administrative duties for example coordinating, entering, processing and general administration of sales orders
  • Direct dispatch of orders - picking and packing stock to our mail order/web customers.
  • Requesting transport quotes and booking transport online
  • Communicating with the warehouse to ensure orders are processed correctly and ready for despatch
  • Handling customer queries, complaints and returns primarily over the phone
  • Tracking orders and keeping the sales team and if required, the customers informed
  • Working closely with the directors to ensure all customer order/sales related matters are dealt with. Working to eliminate administrative burdens for the sales team & assisting the Directors with other various administrative tasks as required
  • Managing and maintaining purchases, as well as invoicing;
  • Sorting and distributing incoming post and organising and sending outgoing post;
  • Organising and storing paperwork, documents - maintaining office filing systems – customers and suppliers.
  • maintain and update websites and internal databases
  • Helping with picking packing and receiving of limited stock at our location.
  • preparing the showroom for in-house meetings and presentations
  • Occasionally organising for external meetings and presentations and taking minutes as required.
  • Occasionally organising travel for the Directors.


Candidate requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. Good with numbers
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Must maintain accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to compose well spelt and grammatically correct emails / letters with confident, professional tone.
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Sage Software optional
  • Excellent business administration skills
  • Previous experience working in Admin / Sales / Textiles will be preferred
