Project Manager

Our client, an award-winning construction company based on the outskirts of Swindon is expanding once again.

Recognized in the South west for exquisite homes with a reputation for luxurious specification and premium quality.  

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project/Contracts Manager who has a wide range of construction knowledge and an eye for quality and detail.

Skills and abilities include:

  • Knowledge of New build, apartments, refurbishment, conversion and commercial
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings
  • Understanding Building Regulations & Warranty standards
  • Technical knowledge of all aspects of traditional masonry construction
  • Knowledge of the planning system
  • Eye for detail and quality
  • Good communication skills.
  • Training including SMSTS
  • General computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project 

Duties will include:

  • Adhering to and discharging planning conditions
  • Setting and maintaining long- and short-term programmes
  • Setting and monitoring development budgets
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of budgets, programmes and development progress
  • Coordinating with external consultants such as architects and engineers etc.
  • Compliance of building regulations and structural warranty’s
  • Negotiating sub-contractor orders
  • Coordinating and managing sub-contractors
  • Managing 3-4 individual developments
  • Managing site staff
  • Understanding and enforcing Health & Safety policies
  • Setting up CDM for each development
  • Understanding planning compliance and condition discharge
  • Interaction with statuary bodies and subsequent coordination of delivery
  • Interaction with Neighbours and adjacent land owners
  • Interaction with sales and after care teams
  • Interaction with internal design team and purchasing department

Salary £55,000 - £65,000
