Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 39 per week.
Pay rate: £22,000 - £24,000 DOE
Role Definition:
Responsible for the day to day management of an area with the production line and ensure that all seats are produced to the highest standards for our customer.
Key Tasks:
- Daily and weekly reporting to the Production Management Team
- Effective liaison with support departments
- Ensure company policies and procedures are being followed at all times
- Day to day management of a team of associates
- Control of core and agency staff absence and to ensure all return to work paperwork is completed
- Management of line-side training
- Ensure all associates adhere to Operating Standards and 5s is maintained
- Adaption of workloads to meet specific Takt times and customer requirements
- Delivery of start of shift communications and completion of start of shift pre-checks
- Update all relevant information on the round by round boards
- Follow correct escalation process for downtime events
- Complete all relevant paperwork within set deadlines
- Continuously look to improve processes, environmental and Health & Safety targets
Experience required:
- Previous people management experience
- A positive, hands-on approach
- Awareness of "Lean" principles and problem solving
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite 2003+ specifically Word and Excel (PowerPoint desirable)
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Exceptional high level of accuracy
- Conscientious and reliable
- Previous manufacturing experience is highly desirable

- Salary £22,000 to £24,000 DOE
- 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
- 39 hours per week
- 23 days paid holiday increasing by one day for each year of service (up to a maximum of 27 days).
