Job Title                             Payroll & Credit Control Manager 
Location                             Wokingham
 
 
 
Main Purpose of Job 
To manage and process the payroll function from start to finish as well as manage and maintain the company’s credit
control procedures as well as other ad-hoc duties within the department/company. 
 
Key Tasks 
  • To process weekly and monthly payroll runs
  • To process starters and leavers
  • To maintain holiday and sickness records
  • To manage deductions
  • To maintain and implement company payroll procedures
  • To obtain and process timesheets
  • To prepare monthly payroll journals and checks
  • To check and submit monthly returns to HMRC
  • To administer the company pension scheme
  • To manage and maintain the company benefits
  • To process annual P60s
  • To liaise with HMRC regarding all payroll enquiries
  • To manage the company’s credit control procedures 
  • To ensure customer payments are received in a timely manner
  • To prepare and circulate weekly reports to management for review
  • To process weekly supplier payments
  • To process the company credit card
  • To complete other ad hoc duties required 
Attributes Required 
Education
• A payroll/finance qualification will be beneficial
Experience 
• No finance experience is required
Experience (Desirable)
• Knowledge of SAGE Payroll package is a distinct advantage

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel). 
  • Proactive, analytical and logical thinker.
  • Strong commercial skills coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong eye for detail.

Key Terms
Salary                     £24,000 - £28,000 per annum 
Days of Work           
5 days per week Monday – Friday. 40 hours per week. It should be noted that there
may be occasions when a flexible approach towards hours of work is required to meet
business needs. Hours are 8:30 – 5:30
