Office Administrator

This position is working a 39-hr week Monday to Friday 

Hours-08.30-5.00 (08.30-4.00 Fridays).

The position primarily involves overseeing batches of product outsourced for surface finishing, to ensure timely progress to meet delivery dates and to data process receipt documents. (Surface finishing comprises, plating finishes, coatings, heat treatments and bending although knowledge of these processes is not required).

You will also support and cover, especially during their holiday periods, any urgent purchasing requirements.

Main Duties to include;

  • Regularly running internal reports from our own MRP, analysing the report, and communicating with Surface Finish suppliers by telephone and e-mail as required.
  • Surface finish receipt document processing and invoice price confirmation.
  • Efficient internal communication of any developing/advised issues from Surface Finishers.
  • Providing the Company with a general support service for purchasing and administration duties.

Attitude;

  • The ability to communicate; be comfortable speaking with a wide range of suppliers and staff, in person, by telephone and in writing is paramount.
  • A well-presented and pleasant manner with strong interpersonal and organisational skills is essential, and you must be able to work both alone, and as part of the team.
  • An understanding for the need to continually maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Beneficial Skills;

  • Have general experience or be proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office Word & Excel.  This will include preparing and typing general correspondence, photocopying, scanning and filing of documentation.  Good sound IT and Keyboard skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.

You will be reporting directly to the relevant departmental Directors/Managers.
