Qualifications
Must have or be willing to work towards one or more of the following terminating at a minimum of HND / Foundation Degree
- ONC – Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- HNC/HND – Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Foundation Degree – Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- Honours Degree – Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Skills
Training will be provided to develop
- Cognisance of typical engineering documentation including
- Drawings
- Bill of Materials
- Technical Specifications
- Production Guidelines
- Specialist Product Instructions
- Ability to create, modify and manage production documentation to guide assembly operators in the manufacture of cable harness’ & electromechanical products
- Ability to conceive and create specialist jigs and fixtures to aid production
- Quotation of new assembly work
- Creation of technical Bill of Materials
- Estimation of labour
- Identification of special requirements
- Good interaction with other team members and departments
- Good technical skills to assist with fault finding and continuous improvement
- Good attitude to challenges and technical issues
Duties
Upon successful completion of training daily duties will involve
- Support production through action of
- Creation of production documentation for assembly and manufacture
- Direct assistance with production issues and technical difficulties
- Liaise with customers and other support staff to resolve technical issues
- Creation of jigs and fixtures
- Support Sales through action of
- Quotation of assembly work (direct and assistance)
- Providing resolution of technical issues
