Engineering Patrol Inspector

Monday - Thursday (6-2pm / 2-10.15pm) Friday (6-1pm / 1-7pm)
*Until fully competent only day shifts will be required for first 2-4 weeks*
SALARY: £27,800 + 20% shift allowance - Salary dependent on experience
Our client is looking to recruit an Engineering inspector to provide Production and Quality support, for verification of parts and components.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting production turning and milling sections by completing full 2nd checks, for batches after preparing them for production
- Systematic checking of all tolerance components, using a range of measuring equipment
- Operation and running of the Co-ordinate measuring machines for certain features
- Carrying out routine quality checks and audit checks
- Assisting production with queries, standards and other issues and liaising with the QA team
The following attributes are desirable but not essential for the role and all training will be provided for the right candidate where applicable:
- An engineering apprenticeship / Turning / Milling or other mechanical or inspection experience
- Computer literate / confident with a keen willingness to learn new skills
- Self motivated, versatile and able to work without supervision in a team environment
- Understand engineering drawings, symbols, revisions and documentation
