Do you like seeing a product evolve from concept, design and launch to being tried and tested throughout its life cycle? Are you looking for a fast-paced role in a market leading innovative company which is constantly evolving?

Our client designs, manufacture and ship their market leading products from our site in West Berkshire and are seeking a qualified and experienced Electronics / Hardware Engineer.

The successful candidate will assist the Engineering team with NPI and our existing portfolio of electrical products and will be responsible all electronic components including circuit board design, control software, battery management and motor control.

 

About you:

We are seeking applicants with:-

  •  A 1st or 2nd class Engineering degree, or equivalent, in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Graduate membership or be actively working towards, Chartered Engineer status
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar type role and manufacturing company.
  • Experience of working with Motor Controls (DC/Brushless Motor Controllers would be desirable.)
  • Experience of working with battery power management (ideally Li-Ion batteries)
  • Experience in designing to national/international regulatory requirements aligned with CE/UL and other recognized global standards
  • Experience in product test and verification
  • An ability to integrate software into circuitry.
  • An ability to work well individually as well as being confident to liaise with other colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical functions – written and verbal.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar Senior or standalone role without needing guidance from other Engineers as this person will be the sole Electronics Engineer in the team.
