Vacancy                                Maintenance Engineer – Electrical bias

                                               £28,000 per annum - Position is eligible for 30% late shift premium and overtime is available.

Shift:                                      2:00pm - 10:00pm

Location:                               Hungerford

 

The Role:

Working on the late shift (2pm to 10pm), you will be responsible for daily maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical plant in our production site in Hungerford.

You will help drive the site total preventive maintenance program through your actions and through promoting good working practices.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out daily allocation of tasks both reactive and preventative
  • Taking an active role in service/breakdown activities on all production machinery
  • Assisting in Production Machine/Equipment design as required
  • Ensuring accurate information is logged of breakdowns/services
  • Assisting in the implementation of a preventative maintenance schedule and parts list for critical plant
  • Contributing in developing solutions to production process problems, documenting via Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Engineering Change Control
  • Contributing to monthly health and safety audits alongside the Health and Safety Advisor
  • Ensuring that all activities take place with reference to Health and Safety at Work Act and the Company’s method statements

 

About you:

Candidates should

  • Be 17th Edition electrically qualified
  • Have previous experience working in a busy mass production environment with electrical plant
  • Be safety conscious
  • Be hands on, flexible and service driven

 

The ideal candidate will

  • Have experience implementing TPM
  • PLC experience (Mitsubishi preferable)
  • City and Guilds Qualified (Electrical)
