Currently one of the largest Commercial Tiling contractors for new build houses in the south of England, the areas covered are from Essex across London to Bath with the majority of work along the M4, M3.

To liaise between the Managing Director, site managers and Office, managing the service we deliver on time and within our budget to the highest quality. Your area will mainly be the Berkshire area.


Contracts Manager Job Role


  • A typical contract manager will look after 8+ sites depending on each sites size, complexity, demands etc
  • Our client works for all the house big national house builders e g Barratt, Bellway, Taylor Wimpey, Bloor, Cala and many more.
  • Liase with site managers on each site to establish the tiling needs to meet the site programmes
  • Coordinating the tiles and materials required, calling them off for delivery to sites
  • Arranging for sub contract tilers to attend


Other roles and responsibilities include


  • Keeping costs down to a minimum and managing waste.
  • Checking plots / areas prior to tiling to make sure all surfaces are acceptable and that plots are 100% ready to tile in advance of the work being carried.
  • Checking the quality of the tiling after completion to get the site to sign off the work as completed.
  • Checking all plots are clean and tidy on completion.
  • Overseeing customer care work in occupied houses.
  • Checking sub-contractor’s invoices.
  • Organising on site emergency remedial work.


Contracts Manager Candidate Requirements


  • At least 3 years’ experience of contract management
  • Or, if from the tiling industry, a candidate wanting to make their next career step would be considered
  • Experience of running a site
  • Track record of successful contract management
  • Able to give up to date references
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and able to work with different characters
  • Experience of working to strict budgets and timescales
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • UK Driving Licence




  • Starting salary will depend on experience but will be between £30,000 and £36,000 per year.
  • 22 days holiday per year
  • Company vehicle and fuel card for company use.
  • Statutory pension scheme.
