JOB PURPOSE:                             

Serving as the liaison between the Company, employees, customers, and independent Sub-Contractors. Contract Managers serve as the main facilitators for the completion of contracts to customers programs efficiently.

Responsibilities of the Contracts manager include the financial monitoring and control of the contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained and the Company's / Customer procedures and objectives are followed and achieved.

 

KEY TASKS

  • Ensure the delivery of the Company’s service surpasses the customer expectations,
  • Financial monitoring and control; of the contract
  • Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality compliance is maintained.
  • Be the Customer’s initial and primary contact when and wherever possible,

 

DAY TO DAY FUNCTIONS

  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with external customers site management, customer care departments, Sub-Contractors, and your company’s employees and management.
  • Work closely with the client’s representatives on all matters relating to the services being provided.
  • Ensure plots are in a state of readiness prior to despatch of tilers and materials are on site for them to proceed.
  • Monitor and control all day works ensuring our client have quoted for all chargeable work and received written confirmation prior to their completion.
  • Proactively deal with problems before the client is aware of them
  • Promptly act on any reported problems or deficiencies in service and take the necessary corrective and preventative action
  • Maintain close and regular contact with all teams within your remit
  • Ensure that labour, materials and tiles are programmed to meet customer’s needs
  • Ensure that all equipment on site is properly stored and is maintained in a clean state and in good, safe working order
  • Communicate with the Operations Manager any difficulties in meeting customer’s needs and quality requirements.
  • Minimising the Company exposure to cost and waste where possible while still maintaining the customer expected quality,
  • Attend customer care inspections and report back to the company’s customer care department comprehensively
  • Prior to subcontractors plot payments ensure their snagging work is completed at the earliest opportunity and the quality is of the standard expected by the company and their customers.
  • Advise the office in a timely manner on all plot work completion,
  • Ensure plot / quality sign offs are obtained from site and sent to the Accounts department to meet the Company’s financial and administrative requirements.
  • Ensure all audits are carried out in line with the audit schedule.
  • Carry out a continuous assessment of all staff within your remit ensuring that training and development plans are in place.
  • Liaise with HR regarding employee relation issues – carrying out investigations and disciplinary / grievance meetings when required.
  • Attendance of customers Sub-Contractors meetings.
  • Toolbox talks carried out as needed by site management.

 

GENERAL DUTIES

Standards of performance are in the above when;

  • All reporting is submitted in a timely manner to the relevant departments.
  • General day to day assistance is given to other departments and staff members.
  • You ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others at all times.
  • You follow Company health, safety and procedures at all times.
  • You carry out any other duties and responsibilities according to the heeds of the business.
