Job Title: CNC Programmer Setter Operator

 

Shifts: Rotating Shifts Mon -Fri (Earlies - 06:00 -14:00, Friday 06:00 - 13:00 Lates 14:00 - 22.15, Fridays 13:00 - 19:00)

Salary: Depending on Skill Level:

  • Grade1 £15.545 per hour/£31,527.12 per annum plus 20% shift allowance – Total £37,832.40
  • Grade 2 £14.784 per hour/£29,983.80 per annum plus 20% shift allowance – Total £35,980.56
  • Grade 3 £14.250 per hour/£28,899.48 per annum plus 20% shift allowance – Total £34,679.40
  • Grade 4 £13.716 per hour/£27,816.72 per annum plus 20% shift allowance – Total £33,380.04
  • Grade 5 £12.964 per hour/£26,291.04 per annum plus 20% shift allowance – Total £31,549.20
  • Grade 6 £12.339 per hour/£25,024.08 per annum plus 20% shift allowance – total £30,028.90

Location: Swindon

Position: Permanent

 

 

The primary role of this position is to ensure that all aspects related to the CNC Turning Area are dealt with & controlled in a safe, effective & efficient manner & to provide the company with effective support within the CNC turning Area. 

 

As a CNC Turner/Programmer Setter Operator you will report directly to the Area Team Leader.     

 

 

 

Outline Job Description

 Following are a list of the main and most important duties and responsibilities, these are not exhaustive and you will be required to have a flexible approach as you may be requested to assist/carry out other tasks and duties in other areas as and when the need arises:

 

  1. To fully support the CNC turning area in ensuring the safe and efficient running of CNC  Turning machine centres.
  2. To Program, Set and Operate the company’s multi-axis CNC Turning Machines
  3. To generate new programs and/or amend/modify existing programs as per drawing requirements.
  4. To ensure that adequate training and ongoing support is given/provided to all CNC Minders. 
  5. In conjunction with the Team Leader, to be responsible for all other CNC Minders to ensure that they work to and perform the normal/expected CNC Minder duties safely and efficiently.   
  6. Responsibility for First-Off and ongoing production Quality checks and requirements.
  7. Responsibility for and ensuring that all tooling and equipment is always available and maintained.  
  8. The movement, administration and identification of products between areas. 
  9. The general housekeeping of the machines and all surrounding areas.
  10. Provide support and cover when and where necessary within other areas of the company.

  1. Mazak
  2. Tornos
  3. Miyano

 

Salary: Discussed at interview/assessed on Skillset level – Skill Grades 1 to 6 apply              Working on our double day rotational shift pattern (shift allowance will apply on 39 hrs basic salary)
