About the role
As a key point of contact for the Civils Team, you will be responsible for the ongoing supervision of on and off-site activities, day to day organisational running of the Civils teams and ensuring works are carried out in line with legislation and RAMS.
We need someone who is a self-starter with a minimum of 2 years experience leading a civils team, ideally with direct line management responsibilities. The successful applicant have a good understanding of working with local council hauc initiatives and will hold a full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of 3 points and hold a NRSWA qualification.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the effective utilisation and supervision of internal civils teams
- To motivate and develop a team to deliver the company’s civils works
- Assist in the co-ordination of resource in-line with Project requirements
- Carrying out site audits ensuring correct procedures, methods and use of PPE are adhered to; reporting findings and coaching to educate
- Carry out site visits on our sub-contractors, assessing quality, progress and giving feedback to the Project Managers
- Point of escalation for on-site civils delivery standards
- Support with operational recruitment and onboarding
- Carry out skill assessments on and off-site and liaise with training teams
- Assess potentially hazardous and dangerous situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site users and the general public.
- Work safely at-all-times and ensure the safety of all those working around you.
- Undertake site specific risk assessments
- Support with onsite works as required in line with business needs
- Production of RAMS
- Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.
- Excellent communication, including ability to adapt communication styles and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team

- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound knowledge of HAUC processes with experience in Electric
- Confident in using own initiative to identify and implement procedural improvements
- Able to create and analyse reports across multiple systems
